Senior Account Executive / Account Managers

Articulate Communications, a full-service communications firm specializing in the financial services and technology sectors, is looking for energetic and experienced Senior Account Executive / Account Managers to join our fast growing team in Central London. These roles can be full-time, part-time or freelance and will work closely with colleagues across the agency globally, serving as a day-to-day point person on various accounts.

Basic Qualifications
At minimum five to seven years of relevant experience in public relations, with at least two years in an agency position and a good understanding of the financial technology/financial services media landscape. Financial technology/financial services experience is required for this role.

Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidates will be strategic, goal-oriented self-starters who thrive in a fast-paced environment, can manage a range of financial services and technology accounts and can support a fast-growing client base. They work well both in a team and individually and should have a proven track record managing and growing accounts and junior staff; desire individual responsibility and accountability; embrace the financial services and technology industries; effectively prioritise multiple time-sensitive tasks; value and cultivate client, media and industry relationships; and demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Some experience working with financial services/financial technology industry analyst relations would be helpful but is not necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as day-to-day strategic client contact; drive account strategy and execution, metrics measurement and ROI
  • Design and manage compelling communications plans and program measurement for clients across digital, print and other mediums
  • Capacity to understand assigned accounts and creatively convey this knowledge to the influencer community and account team members
  • Manage and motivate junior account team members and actively guide their career progression
  • Generate consistent proactive media, analyst and thought leadership opportunities for clients
  • Draft and direct all written materials including press releases, bylined articles, briefing books and other client-facing documents
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, analysts, journalists and editors at key publications
  • Assume basic fiscal responsibility across accounts
  • Develop clear, compelling plans and program measurement presentations and drive staff to execute
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, effectively managing client expectations, deliverables and reporting requirements
  • Participate in new business activities and successfully sell in new programs to existing clients to grow budgets

Account Specialist (New York, NY)

The Account Specialist will work closely with colleagues across the agency and serve as a day-to-day point person on various accounts. The Account Specialist will provide strategic media and communication advice to clients in the financial services and technology industries, effectively prioritizes multiple time-sensitive tasks, values and cultivates client and industry relationships, and excels when faced with tight deadlines. Primary responsibilities include effective strategy development, executive visibility, strategic client counsel, media training, and issues management.

  • Design and execute creative communications campaigns for clients across digital, print and other mediums
  • Generate consistent proactive media and analyst coverage, as well as speaking and award opportunities
  • Prepare public relations materials including press releases, bylined articles, briefing books and other client-facing documents
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, analysts, journalists and editors at key publications
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, successfully managing client expectations, deliverables, reporting requirements and budgets
  • Analyze industry news, feature opportunities and on-going trends to consistently create opportunities for your clients
  • Perform research tasks and assist with new business projects as required

Minimum Requirements Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field, plus at least 4 years relevant experience in public relations fields required. Experience must include the following, which may be gained concurrently: Knowledge of the Financial Services and Technology industries and public relations experience in the B2B industry; Building strong existing relationships with key financial industry journalists in the international press, and trade journals; Preparing executives to brief industry analysts in technology and financial services; Using social media as part of a marketing and PR campaign; Developing and honing writing, editing, and research skills.
