Award-Winning PR Pro Audra Tiner Joins Articulate Communications

Deep Expertise in Software, Infrastructure Technology and Financial Services

August 3, 2009 · New York · Articulate Communications Inc., a firm that helps technology and business services companies achieve their corporate goals through targeted, results-oriented communications, today announced that Audra Tiner, one of PR SourceCode's Top 30 Tech Communicators, has joined its leadership team. With more than a decade of experience in driving strategy and overseeing public and analyst relations and marketing communications programs for global technology companies, Tiner is a well-known and respected member of the technology and public relations (PR) communities.

With a deep background that spans multiple industries, Tiner is already leveraging her specialty in financial services with Articulate's growing roster of clients in the segment, including Portware, ACTIV Financial and the EDM Council, all of which had previously used niche financial services PR firms before turning to Articulate for a more well-rounded approach.

"In only one month, Articulate demonstrated a thorough understanding of our market and delivered immediate results to increase visibility for Portware," said Eric Goldberg, CEO, Portware. "Its creative and dedicated team has a passion for our business that has already established itself as a true strategic partner and integral part of our marketing efforts. That's the ultimate endorsement of a PR campaign."

Tiner joins Articulate from Tideway Systems, a provider of infrastructure management solutions, where she was the director of marketing communications. With Tiner driving communications, Tideway realized a 365 percent year-over-year increase in media coverage, was recognized with multiple accolades and awards and featured throughout the business press, including BusinessWeek, Financial Times, Forbes and The Wall Street Journal. Tiner also helped the company secure a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer award - one of only 34 businesses from around the world and 15 IT companies honored for innovation and vision.

"Audra's exceptional professional experience, integrity and commitment to client satisfaction mirror the attributes that continue to differentiate Articulate," said Laura Grimmer, president and CEO, Articulate. "We have a fervent belief that the agency team should be an extension of our clients' teams, and that everything we do is geared toward achieving bottom-line business objectives. We work hard every day to make this vision a reality."

Tiner joins Grimmer, Kate Corcoran and Megan Garnett on the Articulate Leadership Team.

In 2007, PR SourceCode named Tiner one of the year's Top Tech Communicators, a distinction that recognizes the 30 best PR practitioners in the country and is determined by editorial staff from more than 100 IT publications. Prior to Tideway, Tiner held senior-level positions at Metia, where she managed many of its highest-profile accounts, including CheckFree (now Fiserv), GoldenSource, Intel and Vhayu Technologies. Earlier in her career, she held marketing communications roles at SeeBeyond (now Sun Microsystems), Progress Software and Cambridge Technology Group. She holds a bachelor's degree cum laude from Brandeis University.
